Applying to the B.S. in Business and Economics (BSBU) Program
Requirements to Apply:
1. In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
2. Completion of at least 12 credits in their college of matriculation.
3. Sophomore standing (24 credits completed).
4. Successful completion (with minimum grades of C-) of ECO 001 and MATH 081 or 021. Courses equivalents will also satisfy these requirements, including: approved transfer credit (including AP courses), or the successful completion of MATH 075 & 076, MATH 095 & 096, MATH 061/MATH 062, or MATH 031. Note that MATH 051 & 052 will not satisfy this entry requirement.
Please note: As long as you are in progress with these requirements at the time you submit your application, your application will still be reviewed.
Application Process:
To apply for a College Change into the College of Business, please complete the Petition to Change Colleges and connect with the appropriate contact for your current College (listed below) to review next steps. If you have questions specific to the BSBU curriculum, please contact businessadvising@lehigh.edu.

FAQs for Incoming College Change Students
While your petition is on hold for final grades, your current home college advisor will issue your ALT PINs so you can register for the upcoming term.
As you wait for your grades to be finalized, we highly recommend registering for College of Business courses that are open to you. You can register for the following courses as long as you meet the individual prerequisites and seats are available:
- ECO 045
- SCM 186
- ECO 119 or 146
- LAW 201
If you need help mapping out your schedule before your petition is officially processed, you are welcome to reach out to businessundergrad@lehigh.edu for course planning guidance.
Once your final grades are officially posted and your petition is processed, you will receive a welcome email from your new primary advisor in the College of Business. This email will include specific course recommendations and next steps. You will then have the entire [Summer/Winter] to adjust your schedule and monitor seat availability in your required business courses.
Once you’re officially admitted into the College of Business following the April 1st or November 1st processing dates, your new primary Academic Advisor will send you a welcome email. This email will include your ALT PINs and your specific courses recommendations so you are fully prepared to register during registration week.

Your registration priority depends on which requirements you have already completed. Here is how you should plan your upcoming schedule:
Priority 1: Complete your Core Entry Requirements
If you are planning to apply by the upcoming April 1st or November 1st deadline, your absolute highest priority should be completing the core prerequisite courses required to transition into the College of Business.
- ECO 001
- MATH 021 or MATH 081 [or equivalent courses listed above]
*Please note* These core courses, along with all other College Change criteria, must be either fully completed or currently in progress at the time you submit your petition.
Priority 2: Take Additional Business Courses
If you have already completed both ECO 001 and MATH 021/MATH 081 but are waiting to petition for the next deadline [April 1st or November 1st], you can take other business courses. As long as you meet the specific prerequisites and seats are available, we recommend choosing from the following options:
- ECO 045
- SCM 186
- ECO 119 or 146
- LAW 201

Applying to the Computer Science and Business (CSB) Honors Program
The CSB degree program is an annual application-based process - applications are accepted January 1 - May 15 and will be reviewed at the end of May, once Spring grades are posted. Admission is dependent on space available in the program. Scheduled or anticipated Summer or Fall coursework cannot be used to satisfy these requirements.
Students applying to join the program must have a minimum GPA of 3.25, earn a B- or better in ECO 001 AND CSE 007 AND (MATH 021 OR MATH 031 OR MATH 076), and have achieved Sophomore standing at the end of the Spring term in which they are applying. Due to impacts on graduation timeline, applications to join CSB are not recommended beyond a student's second year of study at Lehigh.

Applying to the Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE) Honors Program
It is possible that a small number of exceptional students may be admitted to the program immediately following the completion of their freshman year. If interested, reach out to IBE's Academic Advisor, Jessica Scott, at jes819@lehigh.edu for more details.
Changing OUT of all College of Business Programs
To change out of any College of Business programs, please complete the Petition to Change Colleges and reach out to your College of Business Academic Advisor at businessadvising@lehigh.edu.
